Fix corrupted NTFS partition on USB drive

A partition, especially external one are likely to be damaged for many reason such as improper removal or virus. The indication of a corrupted partition is that Windows asks you to format your driver right after plugging before it can access it. Another indication is when the Properties windows of your driver displays 0KB available and 0KB used. There are many tools to help fixing that problem, however almost are shareware or retail. Fortunately, there is an easy way to cope with corrupted partitions provided by every version of Windows.

CHKDSK could help you to repair successfully your damaged USB driver. Open Commander window, type CHKDSK /F. You must have administrator rights to do that. 

It takes approximately a few minutes to complete.
